Saddle leather is made by applying a special kind of wax to full grain cowhide leather surface that has been smoothed out. The wax enhances the leather fibres and that way when they are scratched or rubbed, the leather's natural colour changes its shade that gives the antique, vintage appearance. Naturally through wear & tear, the unique rustic, vintage look of the saddle leather ages beautifully over time. 

Care instructions
Use a slightly damp cloth to wipe clean. Refrain from using detergents or chemicals.When your bag gets wet, refrain from using things like hair dryer to hopefully evaporate the water fast as this can alter the leather's properties, resulting in discolourations and uneven tightness. A dry cloth and airing the bag will do just fine. Leather stretches overtime. Take some time to define which items are your essentials and remove the excess to avoid overloading.
